Proposed Route 1 -Online Survey

In an effort to connect more people to services in the City of Petaluma and the imminent SMART commuter rail service, Petaluma Transit is planning a modification of the current Route 1. As you may know, Route 1 currently operates along Petaluma Blvd. To address requests for service to St. Vincent’s High School, two alternatives were developed, one that traveled via Howard, West, and Keokuk to the high school, and a second that travels to the high school area via Magnolia, turning around at the roundabout. The “Magnolia Alternative” is now the preferred alternative due to travel time advantages.

Proposed Route 24 -Online Survey

In an effort to connect more people to services in the City of Petaluma and the imminent SMART commuter rail service, Petaluma Transit is planning a modification of the current Route 24. As you may know, Route 24 currently operates every 75 minutes with several one-way loops making travel on the route difficult. To address requests for more frequent, usable, and timely service, we are proposing streamlining the route to create a more direct route from Downtown Petaluma to businesses and services on and along the Lakeville Highway Corridor, including the Kaiser Medical Complex.

Some areas currently served by Route 24 will be served by other routes that serve within walking distance, such as Route 11 on E. Washington, and Routes 3/33 on S. McDowell and Casa Grande Roads. Other areas will want to walk to Lakeville to catch the Route 24. Route 24 will be operate more frequently and later with this streamlining, increasing convenience.
